If there are pieces of jewelry best known to accentuate the beauty of an arm, it will be bracelets. Bracelets follow the idea of a necklace as it is a strand worn around a part of the body. The difference is that necklaces are worn around the neck while bracelets are worn around the wrists. Bracelets are shorter in length compared to necklaces.
Bracelets can be made up of many materials. Expensive bracelets usually consist of precious metals such as gold, silver or platinum. It can be embellished with gems like diamonds and rubies. Pearls also stand out when it comes to bracelets.
Pearl bracelets are known for the elegance and beauty. The classic design of a pearl bracelet, just like pearl necklaces, is a single strand bearing the same color. Other designs use a chain made up of gold or silver and attach pearls as charms.
In buying pearl bracelets, one must be cautious about the quality of the pearls attached into it. In this case, the luster and surface matters. Size is dependent upon the preference of the buyer.
Color is another consideration. The color must compliment the skin tone of the wearer. Pearls come not only in white. It also comes in a variety of colors such as black, gray, pink and yellow. Pink will look best on fair skin tones. Darker skin tones usually look good on yellow pearls.
Pearl bracelets certainly have the elegance that will perfectly adorn the wrists. These round creations of nature emit a glow unlike other gems.

Black pearls exude beauty unlike other pearls. Its rare appearance plus the fact that it is uncommon makes it irresistible in the jewelry market. Black pearls come from different places such as Tahiti and Akoya.
Akoya pearls are produced by the oysters specifically thriving in a place called Akoya. The Akoya pearl sold nowadays are product of man’s continued research in the production of black pearls. Through the skillful hands of a culturist, a nucleus which shall form as the starting point for the formation of the pearl is inserted in the oyster. After such insertion, the main process which is the continued coating of the nucleus is commenced by the mollusk. A liquid is continuously secreted by the mollusk which later on hardens. The product is a lustrous Akoya pearl.
Though Akoya pearls are cultured, they are still considered rare. In order for the culturing process to be completely successful, the culturist must be highly skilled. He must know where to place the nucleus. Otherwise, the culturing process will be of no use as the mollusk will reject it. The production of Akoya pearls is indeed a time-consuming process that will require tremendous amount of patience.
The secret of the luster of Akoya pearls lie in the temperature of the water. Studies have shown that the shiniest pearls are produced from mollusks that thrive in waters that have cold temperature. The coolness of the water stimulates the mollusk to produce thicker secretions which forms as the shiny layers of the pearl.
